Car history: |
You are looking at a real triple black 1968 Corvette convertible. There were only 708 Tuxedo Black Corvettes produced in '68 and this is one of them. Not only is it a factory black 900 code car, it also is a convertible, has its numbers matching 350 horse engine, 4 speed transmission, and factory air conditioning. This is a 62,000 actual mileage car and has just recently been purchased from the previous owner of over 40 years. This car is a real virgin. Other than a repaint sometime in the 1970's, it is an untouched survivor. The interior is very nice and representative of a 62,000 mile car. The frame and undercarriage are nice and rust free. The body appears to be virgin and the engine compartment is incredible with all of the original smog equipment still intact and functioning. It has a new set of red line tires and the factory original 1968 only 8 inch rally wheels. The headlights work great and it retains all four of its original T 3 bulbs. All of the gauges work as they should as well as the original am/fm radio. This car is a factory hard top only convertible and has never had a soft top. It starts, runs, shifts and stops really well and you can just tell it's a very original untouched car. I have the original tank sticker that is very readable. I also have the owners manual and 40 years of maintenance receipts. Don't miss this opportunity to buy this factory black, high horse, a/c roadster. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is K12. Motor suffix code is V0529HP. 62,962 miles from the odometer. Sold for $21,500. January 16, 2013. |
